treehouse-academy-katy-txAt Tree House Academy we develop, evaluate and implement programs that foster your child’s social and intellectual development. While nurturing your child’s capacity to think skillfully and critically, we also strive to strengthen his/her commitment to values such as kindness, helpfulness and respect for others.

We use the Frog Street Press Pre-K and Toddler curriculum at each Tree House Academy school. Frog Street Press curriculum is a research-based program that integrates instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines. The cornerstones of the program are an extensive integration of theme, disciplines and domains; Social and emotional Development through Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline methods; Differentiated instruction; Equity of English and Spanish materials and instruction; and a joyful approach to learning.  Our curriculum is all taught through a variety of teacher and child directed activities that range from hands on experiences to one on one learning with teachers. At each center we also incorporate a faith-based character building lesson.  On each location page you can view details of the specific curriculum they use at their facility.

We offer care to children ages six weeks through twelve years with specific goals set for each age group. The older children benefit from a creative and inventive before and after care program that allows your child the time and environment to form friendships that will last a lifetime. Homework help is offered upon request and activities are provided daily to enhance your child’s child care experience.

More and more research tells us that our children’s healthy development depends on safe and positive experiences during the first few years of life. If you are a parent who works during these early years, choosing good child care is one of the most important decisions you will ever make for your child.

Knowing this, you should find out what the child care center sounds like. Listen for children who sound happy and involved and caregivers who sound cheerful and patient. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the background training and experience of all staff members. Ask how they handle safety, nutrition, discipline and activities. Quality providers will be happy to answer your questions.

According to the committee on Integrating the Science of Early Childhood Development, young children whose caregivers provide ample verbal and cognitive simulation, who are sensitive and responsive and who give them generous amounts of attention and support are more advanced in all realms of development compared with children who fail to receive these important inputs. Quality care also temporarily boosts a child’s cognitive functioning, setting them on a path toward achievement.

Tree House Academy seeks to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles.

Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff.

We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved on our students’ learning.  We are excited to partner with you in this season.  When you are ready to begin the process fill out the contact us form and we will get you scheduled for a tour to see the facility and meet the staff.
